I thought it would be nice for you to hear from some other nuclear forensics scientists in this blog. After several months of negotiating, I managed to interview three scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. I interviewed them individually, and for this first viewing, I interspersed their answers to the same question to create a short video. The title above each video gives the particular question I asked.
Why is nuclear forensics important?
What attracted you to nuclear forensics?
In forthcoming newsletters, I’ll post more of this type of video. I want to also acknowledge my collaborator in this project, my son-in-law Derick, who is a professional in video production. His paying gigs of course have priority, but eventually we’ll produce a longer version of each interview that also includes footage of some of the laboratories in which they conduct their experimental work.
